King of Fighters Redux: Ash

Ash Crimson from King of fighters 11, and winner of the 10th KOF REDUX poll.

I will be honest, I am not a big Ash fan. Which is weird because I love his 'guile' like charge play style, but the character design is way to effeminate for me. I think he has a cool storyline and I like his team alot, Duo Lon and Shen are awesome, but Ash is just...... weird lol.

Anyways, I knew that when I did a REDUX for Ash I couldn't just drop his demeanor because the effeminate character design IS who Ash is. So my goal was to redesign the character so at least when the typical gamer looks at Ash, they won't confuse him for a female.

So the easiest way to do this was to take his shirt off so you can easily see the male form underneath. That way if someone sees him they won't mistake his gender. The long coat seemed like a good way to still give him style, but it would give his silhouette a more wide shouldered and tapered appearance of a male. I still kept his color scheme since he is pretty much the one of main antagonists of the series now red and black seems like a perfect scheme for that.

Lastly I took off his ridiculous hair clip, it just wasn't needed and there were more sensible ways he could keep his hair under control ( such as a pony tail).
