King of Fighters Redux: Kasumi

"My father always tells me that for a Kendo master,'fighting is always an art'. Who am I?"

Kasumi Todoh from King of Fighters.

I really don't know much about Kasumi other than she is Todoh's daughter. And I REALLY felt like drawing a chick with a katana . So seeing as how Todo karate is a mix of both Akido and Kendo I thought "Hey she can have a cool sword and actually know how to use it!". I guess I will chalk it up to some creative freedom since SNK didn't really flesh her character out much.

Anyways, I wanted to age her a bit, now looking like she is more into her upper teens lower 20's. This is a look of someone who has trained for years in the martial arts and can now pretty much shed the formal training gear and kick butt in a more comfortable outfit. I kept her basic color scheme, but I gave her a kind of contemporary samurai outfit which I thought was pretty interesting. Also for you Samurai Spirits (I LOOOOOVE the Samurai Spirits series!) fans out there, her upper gi is a nice little nod to Haomaru.
