Kyo Kusanagi from King of Fighters.

I was really debating doing Kyo or Iori this early on in the series. I am not sure what compelled me to draw Kyo (I think there were a couple of requests for him floating around ). Regardless I sat down last night and thumbnailed his pose and out fit and spent rest of today working on his colors.

I wanted to give Kyo a jump start similar to how they developed Terry in Mark of the Wolves. I was never a huge fan of Kyo's KOF 2006 outfits, they were just way to over the top for me (and those stupid pouches/sashes Falcoon put on every character GAH!!! kill me now) so I wanted to bring it back a bit to his earlier black and white coat but with a different design.

This version of Kyo would probably be a bit older than the games currently portray him as, you can see he has started to master his flame technique perfectly and he now has tattoos all over his body which he uses to help control the Kusanagi blood.

Other than that he has long hair now, I felt it was time for his hair to change, he has had that college/high school haircut forever to it needed to be messed with. Also with a nod to his 2001/02 out fit I gave him a cross belt buckle and shoes.
